View the Minister for Southern Suburbs John Hill's welcome message (WMV 3.2MB)

The Office for the Southern Suburbs is part of the Department of Planning and Local Government. It's primary objective is to provide a co-ordinated approach to the development of the southern Adelaide metropolitan region.

This includes supporting an integrated approach to economic, social and environmental priorities, encouraging partnerships between organisations and providing a whole of government focus.

The southern Adelaide metropolitan region is emerging as an exciting region.

In response to these opportunities the South Suburbs Co-ordination Group has been set up by the State Government to provide advice on a range of matters related to investment, infrastructure needs, workers' needs and strategic land use planning pertinent to the southern Adelaide metropolitan region.
